Outdoor Facilities

 

The spacious outdoor area includes:

  • two sandpits
  • a teepee
  • a wooden boat
  • various climbing opportunities.

Our outdoor area invites you to run, climb, balance, romp, watch animals, plant, dig, jump, hide, play in the mud, build, experiment, observe, and move freely.

  • Breakfast buffet for all children
  • Fruit/raw vegetable platter
  • Hot lunch for all children, delivered by our in-house caterer

Basics

Our facility is located in the Preuswald district and offers space for 34 children aged 3-6, and 6 places for children aged 2 and older. We are a movement daycare center, plus daycare, and actively participate in intergenerational projects in the neighborhood.

We work according to an open concept. We don't have a fixed group structure,
but rather group-based collaborative work. This means that the children have free access to all rooms of the facility.

Our rooms are designed as functional spaces. Each functional space plays a specific role in the daily routine or is assigned to a specific activity or task.

The children and their personal needs are the focus; they can decide for themselves and freely when they want to pursue or deepen which interests.

Employee

Our multi-professional daycare team works holistically and inclusively. It is comprised of full-time and part-time specialists and support staff with diverse qualifications and backgrounds. In addition, the team includes trainees who complete internships each year. Our housekeeper takes care of the kitchen and cleaning.

The team promotes an inclusive attitude that sees diversity as enrichment and an environment in which all children feel welcome, safe, and valued.
