Data Protection
Collection of your personal data
www.kitas.aachen.de is a service provided by the city of Aachen. You can find further information about us under ‘Legal Notice’. The city of Aachen takes data protection seriously. Your data is collected in line with legal provisions. The use of the city of Aachen’s KiTa-Portal is voluntary. It facilitates the search and registration process for parents and makes it easier for the authorities involved to process your childcare enquiries, both in the run-up to and after joining. In accordance with Section 12 of the German Child Education Act (Kinderbildungsgesetz, KiBiz), parents are obliged to transfer personal data to the daycare facility and, in turn, the daycare facility is obliged to share the data of the children it accepts with the Youth Office, so that it can charge parent contributions in accordance with Section 23(2) KiBiZ.
If you would like to register with a daycare facility via the KiTa-Portal, you can only do so by entering your personal data (first name, last name, date of birth, address, phone number, e-mail address, place of birth, gender, employment, nationality). This data is stored on a server at regio-IT, the city of Aachen’s service provider. The section for daycare administration at the city of Aachen’s Department of Children, Youth and Schools, the relevant daycare facility and its providers have access to this data after it has been stored. The relevant daycare facility, its relevant providers and the section for daycare administration at the city of Aachen’s Department of Children, Youth and Schools may subsequently amend this data.
This data will not be combined with other data sources held by the city of Aachen. Your personal data will only be used for the purpose for which it was collected and will not be passed on to third parties for promotional purposes. Your data will only be collected, stored and passed to the relevant daycare facility subject to your declaration of consent. This consent may be revoked at any time in writing, including by e-mail, with future effect.
